Note to teachers:

These suggested activities, labs and investigations were written for further studies into the topics in this issue of Mizzou Magic. They are intended to allow your students to follow their natural curiosity and should be considered only an outline of possible investigations. The Missouri state show-me standards and Frameworks, along with any appropriate National Science Standards, are given at the end of each feature article.

After the activities are reading comprehension questions. The questions have been written as closely as possible to the style of the MAP tests so that your students can have further practice for preparing for this type of test. Therefore, there are no multiple-choice questions nor fill-in-the blanks; only short essay or sentence answers, the making of charts, tables or graphs and the challenge of expressing one's opinions based on available information.
